James Morrison Quartet at Milton Theatre

Tickets are still available for this iconic musician at the Milton Theatre this Sunday 20 April, 2pm $55.

Billed as “a joyful force in jazz”, an afternoon with The James Morrison Quartet is filled with their shared energy and love for the music. “This is what happens when four musicians all want to swing,” James says.

You may know James as one of Australia’s finest jazz musicians, but hearing him with his quartet is something else entirely. Despite decades of playing with legends like Quincy Jones and Herbie Hancock, James says this is his favourite way to perform.

Patrick brings inventive flair on drums, Harry drives the rhythm with a Ray Brown-style groove, and William’s classic jazz guitar along with his original compositions adds depth and texture.

With them behind him, James moves effortlessly between trumpet, trombone, saxophones, flugelhorn and piano.

If you love jazz that swings and lifts your spirits, don’t miss the James Morrison Quartet.
