Mothers Day Fundraising
The Bay & Basin business community gathered for Bubbles & Beers at the Greenhouse co-working space in Huskisson last night in support of the sensational fundraising efforts from this community for the Mothers Day Classic. Thanks to Justine and Troy from the Husky Bakery for hosting the evening and encouraging everyone to contribute.
If you want to chip in, there are still tickets available to a Movie Night at Husky Pictures tonight (Friday 9 May), where a special screening of ‘With or Without You’ – a new Aussie drama – is part of the fundraising efforts this year: a daughter, a mother, and a stranger from another land are thrown together on an unexpected road trip.
For your $25 ticket, you will get a tasty treat and a small gift, plus be in the draw for a lucky door prize. Buy some raffle tickets, 3 for $5 and be in the draw for more prizes, around $3000 in great stuff has been donated by our generous local businesses. Find the organisers in their Mothers Day Classic t-shirts, and yes they take card payments.
The “race” itself starts in Voyager Park around 8.30am on Sunday with a 3km, 5km or 10km route around the foreshore. The weather prediction is for temps in the low 20s and slightly cloudy, excellent conditions for the event but don’t forget your sunscreen and hydration.
