Viking Festival at Sussex Inlet, Saturday 7 June, 9am-7pm
This is Sussex Inlet’s biggest weekend of the year! The first Sussex Inlet Viking Festival was held in 2021 on the 141st anniversary of the arrival of Jacob Ellmoos to Sussex Inlet. Jacob came from the little Danish village of Ensted, near Hostrup, Aabenraa. The event also recognises the importance of the local Aboriginal community who are sharing their culture as part of the festival. There will be a Viking village and camp, where you can experience how the Vikings lived, plus battle re-enactments and Viking games. Naturally there will be plenty of refreshments available too.
