Sound Bathing Tonight
Healing Sounds Jervis Bay practitioner Jen Freeman will bathe you in the sounds of the rainforest tonight, Friday 28 March from 7pm at the Huskisson Community Centre Hub Room, $30. Jen will use a range of instruments including bamboo, cascading seed pods, rain sticks and crystal singing bowls, there will also be some nature sounds using bird caller instruments created by artist Dan Moi from Germany.
Jervis Bay Arts Trail
This Saturday, travel the Jervis Bay Arts Trail and visit local artists’ open studios around Jervis Bay from 11am-2pm. There are 10 studios open including The Hub at Vincentia Shopping Village, shop 14 (near The Local café), which will have works from many of the artists on display in the one place, and more information about the Trail. Pop in to see Vanessa Barbay in the shop and pick up a takeaway coffee before you head out to the studios. Artists include painters, photographers and textile artists.
Collective Beat Berry Celebrates
Tomorrow, Saturday 29 March is a great day to celebrate local artisans at the first birthday of Collective Beat in Berry. The shop, located in the carpark village behind the IGA, will be presenting local live music, “meet the makers” and lots of special offers and even a raffle, in-store from 10am-3pm. The Collective Beat has five stores across the South Coast, in the heart of Kiama, Gerringong, Huskisson, Milton & Berry! Supporting over 80 vendors.
Business Social Evening
Come along to a small business social networking evening at the Greenhouse co-working space in Huskisson, on Thursday 3 April from 5.30pm, and you could win an advertising campaign for your business. Jervis Bay Weekend Magazine is sponsoring the evening with drinks, a great spread of canapes and a lucky door prize for one business to win a display advertising campaign in the magazine. Plan Ahead
Barefoot Bowls Tournament
Sign your team up now for the Barefoot Bowls fundraising tournament at Husky Sports on Saturday 5 April. The tournament is limited to 14 teams of 3 people so don’t delay, pick up an entry form at the club and start planning your outfit to “Colour Your World”.
Bubbles & Brushes at Parsons Events
Paint your own Polly the Parrot while nibbling on a grazing platter and sipping on something from the bar, at Bubbles & Brushes next Saturday 5 April, 5pm-7pm at Parsons Events on the highway at Wandandian. For around $100, you will be guided by an experienced artist, with all materials and grazing box included.
chestnut Harvest
Sassafras Nuts is hosting its annual Harvest Fair at the farm next Saturday 5 April, 10am-3pm with live music, market stalls, great food and coffee, and family-friendly activities including “pick you own” chestnuts and walnuts from the orchards, $5 entry (kids under 12 free). Bring a picnic rug and enjoy relaxing under the trees.

Music in the Valley
Very limited tickets remaining to see renowned pianist Piers Lane in concert on Sunday 6 April at 3pm, thanks to Music in the Valley in Kangaroo Valley. Australian pianist Piers is based in London, so this is a rare chance to see him perform live in an intimate setting, $80+bf.
