Market Days
MILTON Saturday 3 Feb has plenty of markets to choose from, starting with the Milton Village Showground Markets on from 9-2 with plenty of variety among the 70+ stalls.
TWILIGHT IN HUSKY In the evening it’s the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum Twilight Markets from 3-7. Pop down to see progress on the boardwalk around the pond and mangroves, which is due to be completed in March. These markets are really finding their groove again, we really enjoyed being there last month!
SUNDAY IN HUSKY Huskisson Markets is on from 8-2 this Sunday – not the 2nd Sunday of Feb – so the fields can have a longer period to bounce back from the Carnival. It’s shaping up to be a warm day so remember your hat and head out to support all the stallholders who were rained out last month.
CULBURRA BEACH Sunday 8-1.30 at the Community Centre, this lovely little local market is outdoors and indoors, which might be appreciated with the weather forecast for ‘hot’.
FRESH PRODUCE As always, Thursday is farmers market day but there is a change of location this week! Berry Farmers Market will be on the lawn at the Bowlo (not the Showgrounds), at 140 Queen Street, 2-5pm. We got to try some Kevally Olives recently and are very excited to see they will be among the providores at this weekly event.
The Nowra CBD Fresh Food Market continues to be a welcome weekly destination shop, in Jellybean Park 2-6pm, including food trucks and live music entertainment.
ON SHOW The regional agricultural shows continue along the south coast, with the Berry Show on this weekend, Friday 2 and Saturday 3 February in the Berry Showgrounds. It’s a packed schedule over the two days with competitions and events galore. We always love the crafts, cakes and preserves and so much more on display in the pavilion. Horses, cattle, goats and chickens are among the champions on site, and there will be fireworks. See the whole 96-page program on the website.
For Foodies
SEROTONIN Only three weeks left to experience the fine vegetarian dining and refreshing cocktails at Serotonin on Currambene restaurant until they close down. Book online now for brunch or dinner, to help them manage provisions and minimise waste. We will be very sad to see these guys go and hope they find a new venue… Look for their Valentine’s Day special dinner event too.
