Irish Jam Session for St Patrick’s Day
Jervis Bay Brewing Co is hosting a social gathering of musicians for a traditional Irish jam session on the eve of St Patricks Day, this Sunday 16 March from 12.30pm in the beer garden. Wear something green and bring your instrument to join in – everyone is welcome. The team led by head brewer Oisin Sweeney have brewed a special beer for the occasion, an n Irish Stout which will be on offer all day with Schooners at the special price of $7. Food truck, 5 Little Pigs is also in on the Irish action, serving Loaded Spuds as a special for the day. Bobbie Martin will be playing a folk set to keep people entertained from 4pm until sunset.

Oisin says: “I’m from a small county in the north west called Fermanagh. The nicest place you’ve never heard of! I’ve lived in Oz for over 14 years now. What does St Patrick’s Day mean to me? In a word, fun! I’ve always enjoyed it as a chance to catch up with friends and head out for a drink.
“On Sunday I hope that people get the chance to relax, listen to some music with some homemade beers and celebrate any links they might have to Ireland. Slainte is the Irish version of the near-universal drinking toast meaning ‘health’. It’ll be one of the most well-used words in Ireland on Paddy’s Day!”

She said: “My work seeks to confront the hypocrisy of a culture that records animal life while simultaneously destroying it.
