This Saturday, 26 April at 10am, the grounds of White Sands Park Huskisson will come alive with the slow, flowing movements of Tai Chi and Qigong, as Huskisson joins a global day of wellness, connection and calm.
Led by long-time local instructor Joanne Fabri, this free event is part of World Tai Chi & Qigong Day, celebrated in more than 80 countries each year. Joanne shares, “It’s all about encouraging health, mindfulness and community – one breath at a time.”

With over nine years of experience teaching in the Jervis Bay area, Joanne welcomes everyone, complete beginners included, to come along, try the practice and discover why these gentle strengthening movements are known to support everything from immune function and mobility to mental clarity and emotional balance.
“Just bring water, a friend, and an open mind,” says Joanne. “You’ll find us under the big tree near the children’s playground at White Sands Park.”
The event is a great opportunity to connect with locals who already practise Tai Chi and Qigong, hear their stories, and see how these ancient traditions can bring more balance into daily life. It’s also a chance to learn more about Joanne’s regular classes, with the Term 2 timetable available on the day.
Mention Jervis Bay Weekend Magazine and your first class is free.
