There’s never been so much incredible live music around Jervis Bay as there is right now. Put on your dancing shoes and get indoors for these performances that will get your blood pumping and warm you up from your heart to your feet. Soulful Singer Unplugged

Soulful Aussie singer/songwriter Conrad Sewell is in concert tomorrow night, Saturday 3 May at the Country Club St Georges Basin, on his Firestone 10th anniversary tour. Doors open 7pm, $45/55. This award-winning young musician is best known for his hit singles “Healing Hands” and “Start Again” and the multi-platinum smash, “Firestone”. This is a rare chance to see such a star at one of our great regional venues, stripped back and acoustic and at his best. Conrad is supported by René Le Feuvre. Tickets are available online or at the door.

Art & Music at Bud’s Tavern

Local artist Vanessa Barbay and muso Paul Greene are teaming up for a special “Meet the artist” event at Bud’s Tavern this Saturday 3 May from 2pm-8pm. Vanessa is known for her shroud paintings, imprints of animals onto canvas that form the basis of her artworks. She will have a selection of paintings on display at Bud’s over the next few weeks as part of the Autumn Celebration of Food. Come and chat to Vanessa about her process and her inspiration.

Milton Jazz Festival

The inaugural Milton Folk Jazz & Blues Festival is gearing up for a huge weekend, 9-11 May with a great lineup that you can sample on a Spotify playlist available on their website, where you can also peruse the full program and book tickets. There are limited seats still available for acts like the Abby Constable Trio at the Milton Theatre, the drummer, sax and double bass trio draw on traditional swing with a hint of South American and Afro-Latin rhythms, $25.

Music and Colours of Africa

Do not miss this sensational performance at Vincentia High School for one night only, Thursday 22 May, UBUNTU Africa Live: An Unforgettable Night of Music, Rhythm & Energy. This electrifying group of young African performers will take you on a musical adventure, blending powerful vocals, pulsating drumming and show-stopping dance moves straight from the heart of Africa. 6.30pm-8pm. $25 or family of 4 for $50

Sunday Sessions 4 May

We Mavericks – Victoria and Lindsay will be at Jervis Bay Brewing Co this Sunday from 2pm (note the earlier start time now that daylight savings is over). We love that these guys regularly take time out of their mad schedule – including a UK tour, festivals including the Cobargo Folk Festival and recording and launching a new album – to play for us in Husky with their unique lyrics and multi-instrumental talents.

Jacob Wood will be setting the vibe at Bannisters Pavilion Rooftop Bar from 5pm-8pm, the perfect spot for a sundowner to round off your weekend.

The Freewheelers will be wheeling out the favourites from playlists of rock, folk, country and. Blues from the 60s to the 90s, starting at 12.30pm at Cupitt’s Estate in Ulladulla. Soak up the sun, the views over the Budawangs and a beverage or two, bookings are recommended.
