Dine for Cancer Research
Beats & Eats tonight, Friday 2 May 4pm-8pm at The Local café in Vincentia, a special dinner in the courtyard of Vincentia Shopping Village to raise funds for the Stars of Nowra. Matt Brkic will be dancing in the event for the Cancer Council, and your meal will help him meet his tagets. Enjoy live music from the likes of Ness Jade, Paul Greene Band, 4 Eyed Water Boy and Sneaker Thief, and maybe even win one of 5 meat trays from Jervis Bay Meat Co – get a raffle ticket with every meal purchase. Pre-orders are recommended, for a range of souvlaki skewers, dips, salads and baklava cheesecake.

Tapas and Strawberry Mango Daiquiris
No less that seven sensational tapas dishes, plus olives on arrival and churros with chocolate sauce for dessert, are on the menu at Husky Pub’s Bottomless Brunch this Sunday. Chef Anthony Telford shared the menu with us and we especially like the sound of the queso mezcla semicurado, a blend of cow, goat & Sheep’s milk cheese served with quince paste, and the classic meatballs in tomato sugo. $65pp, from midday this Sunday 4 May, book your place online.
Grazing at The Growers
If you like it bottomless, here’s another great option, Grazing at The Growers this Sunday 4 May from midday to 3pm. Join a long table for a six-course grazing lunch and a variety of bottomless beverages – including a Prosecco, wines, beers and soft drinks – along the undercover verandah overlooking the park-like grounds, $100 pp. The team at The Growers always present a polished and balanced menu. We think the highlights among the six courses will be the wild mushroom risotto and local Ulladulla-caught yellow-fin tuna sashimi – we sampled this dish earlier in the week and it was a flavour bomb. Dessert is included.
