UPDATE, FRIDAY 6 JUNE: The seaside villages of Huskisson, Vincentia and Woollamia are the focus for the big finale of this year’s Autumn Celebration of Food and there’s plenty to see, hear and eat. The entire week from Sunday 8 June to Sunday 15 June is dedicated to the vibrant heart of Jervis Bay.

There’s something special on every day at the many cafes and restaurants that stretch from the Burton Street shopping village in Vincentia through to the Woollamia industrial zone, and of course, Owen Street Huskisson at the centre. This is your chance to discover the abundance of great food, hospitality, artisanal produce and innovation that lies around every corner of Jervis Bay.

Meet the Chefs, Tuesday 10 June, 6pm, Club Jervis Bay, $65

Hosted by Club Jervis Bay, this is a rare opportunity to sample the culinary excellence of four local chefs at once: Wild Ginger, Taj Indian, Pasta Buoy and Club Jervis Bay.

Each chef will prepare one course from fresh local ingredients, highlighting their individual style.

To complete the casual dining event, George Bishop will be playing his signature music with a chill vibe.

Enjoy authentic ramen from Blue Nami Japanese at the Holiday Haven Huskisson Beach on Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 June. Chef Egi will be serving up hot bowls of goodness from 5pm till 8pm, so you can sip, slurp, repeat.

Look for the Blue Nami food truck at 17A Beach Street Huskisson.

Morning Tea, Husky Bakery and Tea Journeys, Thursday 12 June, 10am, $20

Justine Bryce from Husky Bakery will be joined by Tea Journeys lover of the leaf, Mark Thirlwell for a unique morning tea as Mark shares his entertaining stories of travels throughout China and Taiwan, searching for the perfect brew. Mark’s passion and expertise in tea is unmatched and utterly enjoyable.

Hot seafood off the open grill is the perfect lunch on a cold June day, and Thursday 12 June promises to be just such a day, so head to the Jervis Bay Shellfish Market from 11am to indulge in cooked-to-order lobster, scallops, oysters and more. The team at the market have a choice of toppings, such as garlic butter or mornay.

With a squeeze of lemon, what more could you want!

Tapas Night at Sandbar, Huskisson, Thursday 12 June, 5.30-8.30pm, $30

The sharing of small plates with friends is one of life’s little joys. Chef Jason Wilkinson knows how to engage your taste buds while you catch up with your favourite people. Add a sangria jug for $35. Walk-ins are welcome.

The famous Filipino Feast is coming to Bud’s Tavern on Thursday 12 June from 5.30pm, $70. Share in a communal feast of three courses, focusing on the vibrant Filipino flavours.  Each course will contain multiple dishes to experience everything this beautiful cuisine has to offer. 

You can book a table (recommended) or walk in, for a mid-week dinner that really packs in the flavour.

Wine Tasting Lunch, Peter & Eva Huskisson, Friday 13 June, 11.30am-2.30pm, $59

TGIF has never tasted so good. The team at this beloved Italian restaurant in the heart of Huskisson has created a tasting event including a thoughtfully prepared 2-course menu, featuring a mix entrée and handcrafted pasta, designed to complement a curated tasting of premium wines (also available to buy on the day).

A limoncello experience at La Vespa Restaurant on Friday 13 June will complete your Italian immersion, from 5pm at the Burton Street shopping village in Vincentia. Host Lou Casmiri will show you how to turn your lemon harvest into authentic, delicious Limoncello, as you dine on a tasty three-course Limoncello-inspired menu, including dessert.

For $30, you will be turning lemons into limoncello (even better than lemonade).

Coastal Creatives Art Exhibition, Vincentia Shopping Village

This one has already started – head to the Hub at the Burton Street shopping village in Vincentia (Shop 14, near the kids’ playground) to enjoy a group art exhibition by six talented local artists – Karen Cunningham, Barbara Haynes, Ingrid Kangas, Libby Ryder, Victoria Fernandez and Pat Campion.

Open from today, Friday 30 May till 9 June, the works are for sale as well as some greeting cards, books and gifts. Meet the Artists at 11.30am on Saturday 31 May.

The Big Finale Weekend 14-15 June, Huskisson Jervis Bay

The weekend of 14/15 June will be a festive celebration on the streets as well as in the cafes, restaurants and carparks! There will be music and entertainment, competitions, art and socialising that will warm your spirits this winter. This is the wrap weekend for the 2025 Autumn Celebration of Food and it promises to be a big one!

Eat, Sip and Stroll to the Beats, Saturday 14 June, 5pm till late, starting at Club Jervis Bay

As the sun sets over Jervis Bay, the streets of Huskisson will come alive with flavour, rhythm and good vibesEat, Sip and Stroll to the Beats will be family-friendly evening of street food, live music and family-friendly fun, sponsored by Club Jervis Bay.

Stroll under the stars and choose refreshments from local cafes, restaurants and food trucks, sip on regional wines and craft beers, and enjoy a variety of live performances dotted throughout town.

Middle Eastern BBQ at Sandbar, Huskisson, Saturday 14 June, 6pm, $250 for a table of 4

A feast of rich aromas and bold flavours inspired by the vibrant street food culture of the Middle East awaits you at Sandbar Restaurant.

Head Chef Jason Wilkinson, known for his passion for cooking with spices and over charcoal, brings this experience to life with dishes that showcase the depth and complexity of traditional Middle Eastern flavours.

Book a table of four for banquet-style dining. Or take your flavours to go, and enjoy authentic street food as you explore the festivities throughout the village of Huskisson that evening.

Flavours of India at Taj Restaurant, Huskisson, Saturday 14 June, 6pm

Take a curated culinary journey through southern Indian cuisine by Chef Arron, as he showcases his incredible talents and brings out the best flavours and subtleties of Indian spices and herbs.  Watch the tandoor in action and enjoy live music and dancing.

Mexican Night by 5 Little Pigs at the Jervis Bay Brewing Co, Saturday 14 June, 5pm

One night only, the food truck in the beer garden will be dishing up authentic Mexican flavours that pair perfectly with a cold beer. Tacos, elote (grilled corn) and more,

Meet the Artist, Josie Sweeney at Husky Bakery, Saturday 14 June, 5pm

Husky Bakery will be exhibiting the vibrant work of Josie Sweeney, as part of Eat, Sip & Stroll. Enjoy tasty nibbles and a glass of bubbles and while you view the exhibition.

Burger Battle, Sunday 15 June, Husky Sports Carpark, 11am-2.30pm

I did mention a carpark and here it is, the second annual Burger Battle, with seven fierce competitors vying for your vote. Will Caterina KV be crowned for the second time? Or will they be defeated by a hungry rival? The winner will be announced inside Husky Sports at 2pm. There will also be market stalls, live music and free mini golf on the day.  

Head inside the club to buy your drinks and enjoy some traditional Irish music, with the Jervis Bay Slow Sessions playing jigs, airs and more from midday till 2pm. The Sessions are a casual get-together usually on the third Sunday of the month, and all are welcome to join in.
