Two fantastic shows will entice you a little north, or south, of Jervis Bay. Grab a toffee apple and revel in the best of rural Australia right here on the Coast.

Markets galore this weekend

Is there a bigger weekend on the Aussie calendar than this? We have a block of markets (yes, that’s the collective noun for markets, I was hoping for something a little more colourful) from Berry to Mollymook and everything in between (think, Nowra and Pyree). There’s a market near you, wherever you are.

NOWRA Saturday 27 January is the Nowra Showground markets from 8-1.30, entry via Worrigee Street.

PYREE This is a beauty for arts and crafts, run by the Shoalhaven Potters. Find woodworking, embroidery, jewellery, plants, stone carving, cards, jams, preserves, soaps, lavender, scarves, baby wear, hot/cold food and a coffee! Oh, and pottery. Sunday 28 January 9-1.30.

BERRY The Berry Village Market is on Sunday 28 January at the Bowlo, 10-3. Browse more than 70 stalls of plants, farm fresh produce, street foods, coffee, honey and preserves, breads and pastries and much more.

MOLLYMOOK BEACH The Lions Club of Ulladulla is hosting a market and youth music spectacular on Friday 26 January from 9am with ambassador Peter Hubert, writer and producer of iconic Aussie TV programs.

Thursday is always farmers market day

NOWRA In Jellybean Park 2-6, food trucks and buskers alongside the produce, do your weekly shop while supporting local growers and makers, at the Nowra CBD Fresh Food Market.

BERRY The perennially popular Farmer’s Market in the Berry Showgrounds, 2-5 is your time to stock up on fresh fruit and veg, meat, wine, preserves, cheese and salami and more.

For the Foodies

WAGYU Who doesn’t love a good steak at the club? Well, Culburra Beach Bowlo has taken it to the next level with The Ultimate Steak Night coming up on 1 Feb – we are giving you fair warning to book your spot. On offer is a dry-aged 42 day pure blook Wagyu sirloin from Queensland’s Darling Downs for the special price of $80. Make your mouth water in anticipation by reading about this choice cut, and what the Bowlo is planning in the way of sauces and sides.

LAST TACO Tuesday 30 January is your last chance to experience the Taco Tuesday pop-up at Albert N Miso in the Vincentia village. These evenings have been insanely popular and a great social occasion for the neighbourhood – and there’s a taco for everyone, including a vegetarian version bursting with flavour. 4pm till sold out.

LOBSTER Seafood Sundays are on at Currarong Bowlo including Jim Wild oysters, lobster rolls and more, satisfy your tastebuds from 2-5pm.
