Foodies delights on this weekend in Jervis Bay

 In NEW, WHAT'S ON

Our Hospitality Editor has some intensely delicious suggestions for you this weekend, so get out your diaries!

Vincentia Village shopping centre turns up the taste

Start the day with a brekkie special at Bunya Whole Foods this week. Grab yourself a bowl of polenta porridge with coconut milk vanilla bean chai spiced apples and house made GF granola. Dine in or call ahead they’ll have it ready to go. Find a quick parking spot in the revamped Excellent Street carpark at the Vincentia Village shopping centre, and swing by the servery window.

Collaboration is on the menu at Albert n Miso Friday night from 4.30pm till sold out – fresh ramen noodles from the experts at Pasta Buoy, poke elements from Tuna Tail and all pulled together into something special at Vincentia Village shopping centre. Enjoy the fine evening weather in the lovely village square atmosphere, with live music, and Jervis Bay Brewing Co beverages available. BYO chair if you fancy.

The new chef at La Vespa Italian Restaurant is serving up fresh potato gnocchi tossed in a creamy pumpkin sauce, served with pine nuts and sage, as pasta of the week. That’s what I call fantastico! Only $15, open from 5pm.

New winter menu

Tapas Del Mar, along the walkway from Owen Street Huskisson down towards the wharf, is Seong Kim’s Asian-inspired dishes (co-habitating with Jervis Bay Coffee Co). This talented chef is offering new winter delights from Thursday this week, (16th May) Vietnamese Pho, slow cooked brisket and bone broth noodle soup, topped with fresh Asian herbs. Take away available and keep an eye on their socials for specials.

Degustation delight

A few places still available! We love a long table gathering, such as this annual Showcase Dinner at Farmgate Restaurant in Nowra, from $100pp. With a degustation by chef Gerald Poelzl and optional cocktails by Tara Distillery.

Fire & Smoke

Monthly evenings of sunsets, cosy fire pits and a selection of smoked meats at Cupitt’s Estate in Ulladulla, are back on again from this Friday 17 May at 4.30pm. This month they have their signature smoked chicken served with flatbreads including a variety of tasty sauces. If you’re a spiced mulled wine lover make sure you grab a glass or two. Kids get free marshmallows to toast on the fire! Book a table online.
